Everything Homemade

Maria Weingrad, owner of Everything Homemade, LLC, poses with some of her mouth-watering goodies.
When I was young, I loved to bake with my Grandmother. An Italian woman armed with her cookbook of treasured family recipes, she and I would recreate all sorts of traditional treats. I vividly remember how we would fry up dough balls to drizzle with honey or separate eggs for our version of Italian cheesecake, "Pizzadulch."

I loved the whole experience: The mouthwatering smells that came from the oven, the wonderful time spent with my Grandmother and seeing how much everyone enjoyed the delicious treats that we created. That made it all worthwhile.

When my Grandmother passed away it was up to me to carry on her traditions and to pass them on to my children. Throughout the years we would bake lots of tasty treats to give to friends and family, especially during the holidays.

Until recently baking was just a hobby for me. I was going from job to job, never finding what truly made me happy. But after praying for direction, and receiving lots of encouragement from family and friends, I decided to start a business baking the way my Grandmother and I used to. Baking from scratch with wholesome ingredients and lots of love.

Even though it is a lot of work, the 'made from scratch with wholesome ingredients and lots of love' philosophy is a winning combination. So I invite all of you to try a taste of home and remember what a great dessert is supposed to taste like.
